The Grand Theatre

The Grand Theatre produces six professional productions on its Spriet Stage and presents/produces three or four shows in its studio space, the McManus Stage, and a full scale musical as a High School Production every season.  The Spriet Stage is an 839-seat proscenium theatre with a full fly system.    The McManus Stage is a 150-seat studio theatre with a catwalk system.

The Apprenticeship    2019–2020 Season

The Apprenticeship will be an introduction to the workings of a large wardrobe in a regional theatre.

Under the supervision of the Head of Wardrobe and The Cutter, the Apprenticeship will include learning and working on alterations, building accessories, and costumes, dyeing materials, supporting fittings to support all Spriet Stage and McManus Stage productions.  The Apprentice may be given the opportunity to supervise small projects on occasion.

The Candidate

The candidate will be a graduate of a post-secondary technical theatre or fashion programme and will have at least 1 year of professional work experience.  The successful candidate will be creative, curious and passionate about theatre, and have the ability to work in a team environment.
