Call for Submissions

The Grand Theatre is seeking submissions for the cast of our production of Honour Beat by Tara Beagan in our 2019-2020 season.

Director Falen Johnson and Artistic Director of the Grand, Dennis Garnhum, will be holding auditions for these roles on Friday, June 21.
 

MOM
Female, appears 30-40, spirit of 80.

She is of unknown indigenous descent. She is played by a younger woman – a woman who reflects Mom when she felt her strongest and happiest, perhaps in her 30s.

RAE-ANNA
Female, 58.

Well-organized, a proud wife and mother of two. She is of unknown Indigenous and euro-Canadian descent. The younger sister.

ANNA -RAE
Female, 62.

            Spiritual, adventurous and untethered. Of unknown Indigenous descent. The older sister.

SPANISH
Male, 35-45.

A mixie of unknown Indigenous and WASP descent. Kind and intelligent, he is a care worker and licensed practical nurse.
 

Please note: We will only be seeing individuals of Indigenous, Metis or Inuit descent for these roles.

Official opening: Friday, February 7, 2020
Closing: Sunday, February 23, 2020
