DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

(LONDON, ONTARIO)

Reporting to the Executive Director, your position as the Director of Finance is responsible for all aspects of finance, budgeting, cash flow, accounting, and risk management. Working closely with the Executive Director, you will be part of a collaborative team of senior managers dedicated to the sustainability and success of a vibrant cultural organization integral to the London community.

Your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing all aspects of the theatre’s financial operations
  • Completing all monthly reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Preparing monthly financial and cash flow updates for the Executive Director and Board of Directors
  • Completion of annual budgets and two-year forecasts
  • Ensuring the completion, submission and compliance, with all reporting to CRA and workplace safety organizations, including the annual Charity Tax Return
  • Providing support for grant applications and funder reports
  • Ensuring all insurance applications are submitted and requirements are met
  • Working closely with the theatre’s auditors and overseeing the annual audit processes

You will also attend functions and performances as required.

Qualifications

  • University Degree or College Diploma in business management, finance, accounting or a related field
  • Possesses a professional accounting designation: CPA, CMA, or CGA.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior Finance position
  • Extremely adept in financial forecasting, accounting principles, and financial data analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and other accounting/business software
  • Experience with ADP payroll software
  • Understanding of Canadian GAAP and IFRS
  • Experience with the not-for-profit sector would be considered a strong asset.
