Grand Theatre Announces Cast and Guest Artist Lineup for Season Closer, East Coast Kitchen Party

Cast of four Maritimers joined by 23 London, Ontario musicians
for Nova Scotian concert experience
 

March 21, 2023 – London ON – The Grand Theatre, in partnership with the London Music Office and Tourism London, announced today the cast and guest artist lineup for the Theatre’s 2022/23 season closer: Neptune Theatre’s East Coast Kitchen Party. The Nova-Scotia-meets-London concert experience will be directed by Neptune Theatre Artistic Director and the production’s co-creator, Jeremy Webb and will play on the Spriet Stage from April 18th through May 7th.

“The spirit of the East Coast, and the pride of London are alive and well at the Grand Theatre today as we announce the extraordinary cast and guest artists of East Coast Kitchen Party,” exclaims Grand Theatre Artistic Director, Dennis Garnhum. “After a comprehensive, city-wide application process, we are thrilled to welcome 23 diverse and remarkably-talented London musicians to join our cast of Maritimers – Live! And in person – on the Spriet Stage for a concert experience like no other.”

Created by Jeremy Webb and Ian Sherwood, East Coast Kitchen Party offers an authentically Nova Scotian experience. It’s a concert celebration set in a kitchen, where the instruments come out, and friends start to play some of the best music that the East Coast has to offer. Each performance will see the stunning cast of Maritimers, joined by an outstanding lineup of London, Ontario musicians, who will drop in to give the party a very local flavour.

Reprising their roles from the 2018 world premiere of East Coast Kitchen Party (also known as: Argyle Street Kitchen Party) at the Neptune Theatre are: Malia Rogers, Celia Owen, Karen Lizotte, and award-winning musician and East Coast Kitchen Party co-creator, Ian Sherwood. At the helm of the production is the notable arts leader, Neptune Theatre Artistic Director and production co-creator, the aforementioned Jeremy Webb. Rounding out the talented production team is: Set Designer Andrew Cull, Lighting Designer Vicky Williams, and Stage Manager Suzanne McArthur.

Joining this cast is a lineup of 23 distinct London, Ontario musicians, who were selected following a city-wide call for applications. Each guest artist will play a 15-minute set on stage, and another 30-minute set immediately following the show in the Drewlo Lounge. The lineup of can’t-miss London musicians is:
