Availability: June – SeptemberThe newly named Spriet Stage is widely considered one of the most beautiful theatres in Canada. This renowned venue dates back to the New Grand Opera House built in 1901, complete with the original proscenium arch, one of the last remaining in Canada, featuring original artwork by muralist Frederick S. Challener. This venue is perfect for large-scale touring or professional presentations. Renting this space includes use of our main lobby spaces, five of our dressing rooms, and use of our Artist’s Lounge.
- Drewlo Lounge
Capacity: Up to 119 persons for a stand-up reception, 80 persons for sit-down dinner.
Availability: Year-round (Contact us for more information)Renovated in 2020, this stunning space features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Richmond Street. This space includes a bar and flexible seating options, perfect for a reception or sit-down meal. This space is also equipped with a small stage, perfect for a speaker series, formal presentation, or intimate performance.
- Auburn Lounge
Capacity: Up to 70 persons for a stand-up reception.
Availability: Year-round (Contact us for more information)Renovated in 2020, this intimate space is perfect for a reception or small gathering. This space is perfect for a book-club, wedding shower, family reunion, or private business meeting. Equipped with a bar and flexible cruiser tables, this space provides the perfect casual setting.

- What is the process of booking a rental with the Grand?

- How much does it cost to rent with the Grand?
We offer a wide-range of pricing depending on the space and type of event, as well as the amount of staffing needed for your event. We also offer not-for-profit discounts. - Will the Grand Theatre help advertise my event?
At this time the Grand Theatre does not offer any included advertising for our rental clients. We do offer advertising in our house programs, however this would come at a separate cost. For information on adverting with the Grand Theatre, please CLICK HERE.
- Can I sell tickets to my event through a separate service or provider?
No, all ticket sales must be done through our Box Office and through the Grand Theatre website. Through our ticketing system we are able to create discount codes, pre-sale offers, and provide regular sales updates.
- Can I sell merchandise during my event?
Yes, you can sell merchandise during your event. Per our official rental agreement, the theatre earns 20% of your sales. All food and beverage sales must be done through our bars and concession stands.
- Could I have my wedding at the Grand?

- Will the Grand cater my event?
The Grand Theatre does not offer catering, nor do we have a kitchen on site. We do however have a list of caterers we work with frequently, and are happy to provide those details upon request.
- I am looking to film or record a video; can I do that at the Grand?
This is not something we typically offer, due to the significant booking cost. All venue rental rates, and additional filming rates may apply.
