2024/25 Season Student Matinee performances begin at 10:30 a.m. and tickets are available for $25. If your class or school have a financial barrier in accessing regularly-priced student matinee tickets, there are subsidized tickets available.
At this time, only performances during the 2024/25 Season are available for booking. To learn about on-sale dates and performances for the newly announced 2025/26 Season, select that option from the menu below.

To submit a booking inquiry for your class, please fill out our booking form.
Tickets to Student Matinees are $25 and the price includes all taxes and fees. Each student, teacher, and chaperone require a ticket.Questions about student matinees can be directed to Audience Services Supervisor, Denise Hay, at dhay [at] grandtheatre.com (dhay[at]grandtheatre[dot]com).
Please note: Regardless of staff availability, orders will be processed in the order in which they are received.- Subsized Student Matinee Ticket Option

- Tickets at price points lower than $25 are available in limited numbers.

- Terms and Conditions
- Final attendance numbers are due no later than 30 days prior to performance. Reductions to numbers are not possible after this point - you will be invoiced for all students at 30-days prior to performance.
- Payment in full must be received prior to the performance day.
- Payments may be made by cheque (payable to Grand Theatre), credit card, or debit card/cash, in person.
- Grand Theatre DOES NOT REFUND TICKET ORDERS. In the event that a school group is unable to travel to the theatre due to inclement weather, the theatre will make every effort to find an alternate performance on another date for the school to attend. If an alternate date cannot be found, the school/group will receive a credit for a future Student Matinee performance. Credits do NOT apply to decreased numbers from the original contract if fully paid.
- Grand Theatre reserves the right to limit the number of seats available.
- Please note that concessions will NOT be open during Student Matinees. Students may consume snacks in the lobby, but food and drink (with the exception of water) is not allowed in the theatre.

Can't decide which show your students will love more? See two shows in our season, and unlock early access to full-price ($20 for plays, $25 for musicals) student matinee tickets as early as May 12, 2025.

Starting June 9, 2025 you may purchase student matinee tickets for the Grand Theatre High School Project production of Disney's Newsies and The Play That Goes Wrong at full-price), or subsidized student matinee tickets.
