Student Matinee performances begin at 10:30 a.m. and tickets are available for $25. If your class or school have a financial barrier in accessing regularly-priced student matinee tickets, there are subsidized tickets available.

Starting June 5, 2024 you may purchase student matinee tickets for the Grand Theatre High School Project production: MATILDA The Musical and As You Like It at full-price ($25), or subsidized student matinee tickets.
 

⭐ WED, MAY 1, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. - STUDENT MATINEE 2-SHOW EARLY ACCESS

Can't decide which show your students will love more? Come see two shows in our season, and unlock early access to full-price ($25) student matinee tickets as early as May 1!

*Due to anticipated demand, under this early access offer, groups who select The Sound of Music are invited to select any other productions except for Waitress. Exceptions will apply for groups interested in more than 2 productions.

Tickets to Student Matinees are $25/ticket, and the price includes all taxes and fees. Each student, teacher, and chaperone require a ticket.

Please note: Regardless of staff availability, orders will be processed in the order in which they are received.


Subsidized Student Matinee Ticket Option

If your class or school have a financial barrier in accessing regularly-priced student matinee tickets ($25/student), there are subsidized tickets available.

  • Tickets at price points lower than $25 are available in limited numbers.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Final attendance numbers are due no later than 30 days prior to performance. Reductions to numbers are not possible after this point - you will be invoiced for all students at 30-days prior to performance.
  2. Payment in full must be received prior to the performance day. 
  3. Payments may be made by cheque (payable to Grand Theatre), credit card, or debit card/cash, in person. 
  4. Grand Theatre DOES NOT REFUND TICKET ORDERS. In the event that a school group is unable to travel to the theatre due to inclement weather, the theatre will make every effort to find an alternate performance on another date for the school to attend. If an alternate date cannot be found, the school/group will receive a credit for a future Student Matinee performance. Credits do NOT apply to decreased numbers from the original contract if fully paid.
  5. Grand Theatre reserves the right to limit the number of seats available.
  6. Please note that concessions will NOT be open during Student Matinees. Students may consume snacks in the lobby, but food and drink (with the exception of water) is not allowed in the theatre.
